Bloggin’ Ain’t Easy

Have you ever been careful about what you put on your Facebook or Twitter page because of your occupation? Like, the very powerful video about homeless people or racism wasn’t ugly, per se, but it sure wasn’t family friendly or even PG13. I’ve been there and I’m still there.

The world is messy, and our lives can get messy too. Just because we’re Christians and Christian leaders, doesn’t mean that we have our crap together!

Sometimes we want to cuss, because even Paul cussed (he considered all his earthly achievements ‘a loss’ in comparison to what he gained in Christ — that ain’t exactly what the Greek means in Philippians 3!)

Sometimes we want to share crazy-pants stories about ministries to encourage (and potentially entertain!) others who have been there, and those who are in the highways and hedges.

Sometimes we want to be transparent about our family & personal struggles — like singleness, divorce, marriage dis-tranquility, children, childlessness, infertility, anxiety, depression, bipolar, non-Christian family members, cheating spouses, LGBTQ family members. The list goes on and on.

So let’s do coffee sometime. You and I can sit down and talk about hopes, fears, mysteries and disappointments.
